A lot of people have asked me how to make hair. Other plush makers like Pheleon
have made really good tutorials, so I made one too.
I've made so many tutorials I don't think I have any secret left to share about my plushes. Soon no one will need me to make more.
1. I always start with the front part. A big piece with more or less the shape of the character's hair
2. A lot of people glues the hair, but I prefer to sew it. As the felt is thick, it's easy to hide the seam.
3.Cut smaller pieces and put them below to make the sideburns.
4.I cut another piece of felt with a similar shape but slightly smaller and, if needed, some little triangles like in the photo, to make it look more realistic.
6-7. For the sides, cut a longpiece with both tips pointed.
Sew it along the head
8.I use to make the back part in layers, although it depends on the kind of plush. The first layer is the lowest and narrowest.
9. I then cut 3 or 5 more layers, as well as little triangles to fill the spaces.
10. For making plushes it's easiest to improvise as you go, specially while making the hair. Depending on the character you can use more or less layers, and make them bigger or smaller.
I hope this has helped ^^
